How do I order?

How do I know my order went through?

We always email a confirmation receipt when an order is placed. However, these receipts can sometimes be redirected to your spam or junk folder. Please make us a "trusted sender" in your email programme and add CanvasPeople@em.canvaspeople.com to your safe sender list. We want to be sure you receive all updates on your order and information on the status of your canvas shipment.


Can I modify or cancel my order?

Due to the highly automated nature of our process, canvases are created and dispatched as quickly as possible. This is a personalised product and cannot be cancelled or modified once the canvas has been sent to production. Please see our Return Policy for more details.


What is your return policy?

We will review your request for a replacement or refund if it meets the guidelines in the Return Policy and the request is filed within thirty (30) days from the date the canvas was received. All replacement or refund requests must be submitted through our Contact Form. Please include a photo of the canvas that clearly displays the damage, blemish or defect for our team to review.


Will my information be private?

CanvasPeople respects your privacy, and we are committed to safeguarding your information and privacy on this site. In order to provide our services, we require information (including address and credit card information) regarding our users. You may receive emails periodically from CanvasPeople and our respected partners with information and special offers. We will maintain the confidentiality of information provided in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may change this policy from time to time, and if we do, we will provide notice on this website regarding any changes to the policy.


Will my credit card be secure?

CanvasPeople utilises a secure server in all the transactions that hold sensitive information. A secure server guarantees the privacy of data transmitted through the internet, including credit card information, through an SSL protocol that encrypts the information.


Can I reprint any photo?

The Copyright Act protects photographers by giving the author of a photograph the exclusive right to reproduce the photograph. This includes the right to control the making of copies. If your photograph was taken by a professional photographer, you may need to obtain a release.


How long will it take to receive my canvas?

Most orders are generally delivered within 10-12 business days. Production times may vary if the uploaded photo does not meet our resolution requirements. Please allow additional time if you applied an enhancement or special effect to your photo. Please note that during holidays, delivery may take slightly longer due to increased order volume. Please allow up to 12-14 business days during peak holiday seasons.

If you have not received your tracking information from us after 10 days, there might be an issue with your photo. Please contact us at Support@CanvasPeople.com.au. Low resolution or poor cropping may trigger an automatic email to be sent to you requesting a new photo. These emails sometimes get caught in spam filters, so we suggest you make CanvasPeople@em.canvaspeople.com.au a "trusted sender" to ensure you receive this important correspondence from us.


What delivery options are available?

We deliver using standard postage by Australia Post and FedEx. Most of our orders are delivered in approximately 10-12 business days. Please allow additional time if you applied an enhancement or special effect to your photo, or we will notify you if there is a problem with the photo submitted. Please note that during holidays, delivery may take slightly longer due to increased order volume. To ensure your canvas arrives when you need it, order approximately 12-14 business days before you'd like your product(s) to arrive.


Are your offers available worldwide?

All CanvasPeople.com.au offers, deals, coupon codes and other special promotions are valid within Australia only unless otherwise specified.



Product Options

How thick are the canvases?

All of our canvases are gallery wrapped around a stretcher bar and most are available in both 1.9cm and 3.2cm thickness.


What size photo is acceptable?

Images that are 2MB or higher are great, and images under 2MB but higher than 700KB are almost always workable. Please note we do not accept images larger than 26mb.

Helpful Hint: The resolution from most digital cameras work perfectly for our canvas products. You can check the file size by right clicking on your image, and then clicking "properties" where the size will be displayed. Compare that number to the recommended resolutions listed below.

Note: Mobile phone images may not meet our minimum resolution requirements. Please upload the largest image possible to ensure the highest resolution.


How will my photo be wrapped?

Your photo will be wrapped around the sides of the canvas stretcher bar. Make sure the main subject of your photo is within the blue border (this is the front face of your canvas). We can also add a black or white border for you. Please make sure to select your wrapping preference when placing your order. 

Note: As you change the canvas size, be sure to check out the wrapping preview again as it will change based on the size selected.

Please allow 3.8cm – 5.08cm for the canvas wrapping. If something is cut off or wrapped around the sides, you may want to edit your photo using our cropping tool or upload a different photo.


What is a floating frame?

By adding a floating frame, a perception of depth is created by the shadow around your photo. This is the same technique that Art Galleries have used for years to draw additional attention to their stunning works of art. The lighting creates a dramatic effect and calls attention to the image in a sophisticated way. Similarly, CanvasPeople’s floating frames will let your photo speak for itself, providing a professional and polished finishing touch. Frames are available for all gallery wrapped canvas sizes.


Can you touch up or correct any photo problems?

What photo effects are available?

Will my canvas appear slightly different than my photo?

RGB Colours - what you see on screen

CMYK Colours - how printer ink may appear

Yes, they may appear slightly different. Keep in mind our high-quality commercial canvas printing process utilises CMYK colours. Unlike commercial printers, household printers and monitors use RGB.

CanvasPeople will reproduce colour from your submitted photograph file as closely as possible but cannot exactly match colour and density because of limitations in the printing process, monitor calibration and image resolution requirements. You most likely won't notice this kind of colour shift in a colour photograph. It is more likely to happen if you pick a very rich, vibrant colour for a background or some other element of your layout.


What colour profile does CanvasPeople print in?

CanvasPeople recommends images using the sRGB colour space. We also recommend using RGB colour mode for uploaded images. Our printers default to an sRGB colour profile and adjust to CMYK for printing.


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal.


How do I change the delivery or billing address on my order?

Since most orders are transmitted to our production staff immediately upon submission, it is generally impossible to make corrections or changes once your order has been placed. Please contact us at +61 (2) 90531069 or support@canvaspeople.com.au with your order number and updated delivery or billing address and we will do our very best to make the change for you.


I would like to change the image that I originally submitted with my order. How do I do this?

Since most orders are transmitted to our production staff immediately upon submission, it is generally impossible to make corrections or changes to the photo submitted for printing. Please contact us at +61 (2) 90531069 or support@canvaspeople.com.au with your order number and we will do our very best to stop your order in production and provide a replacement photo link so that you may upload your desired photo directly to your order.


How do I take advantage of a specific promotional offer?

We always suggest that you clear the cookies and cache on your browser prior to placing your order. Once this has been completed re-open the browser, and re-visit our website using the email offer that you would like to take advantage of. We also recommend that you use the most up-to-date version of your browser.


Can I hang my artwork outside?

Your canvas should be hung indoors only. While we treat your canvas with a special protective coating to safeguard against cracking, fading and other sorts of damage, no artwork should ever be hung in direct sunlight.


Can I hang my artwork in a bathroom or humid area?

Because canvas is a natural product that will shrink and swell due to significant changes in temperature or humidity, it should not be hung in a bathroom or directly over a heat source.


How do I clean/maintain my canvas?

The best way to clean your canvas is with a soft duster.


Do you offer discounts for designers, artists or photographers?

We do not offer discounts or combined delivery options unless it is specifically part of a promotional offer.


I cancelled my order, why haven’t I seen a refund on my credit card?

It can take up to 7-10 business days for a refund to process through your credit card company. If you do not see your refund within 10 business days, please contact us.


If my order contains multiple items, when will they be delivered?

As each item is packaged and dispatched individually, we will dispatch each item as it is completed and email you individual tracking information for each item.


Will you send me tracking information once my canvas has been dispatched?

You will receive a delivery confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your product(s) leave our facility.


Do you offer bespoke sizes?

We do offer many canvas sizes however we do not offer custom sizes. Please visit us at CanvasPeople.com.au to view the sizes that we offer.


Can I print my image across multiple canvases?

We do not offer the option to print your photo across several canvases. You can certainly create this effect yourself by ordering multiple canvases with portions of your photo.


My piece was damaged upon arrival. What do I do?

While we make every effort to ensure your canvas arrives in perfect condition, sometimes things happen. Please take pictures that clearly display the damage and email them to Support@CanvasPeople.com.au and we will have a new canvas created and dispatched to you as soon as possible.


What image files do you accept?

Our website accepts JPEG or PNG files.


How do I check the status of my order?

You can check the status of your order at any time by logging into your account. 


Can promotions be combined?

You may use one promo code or one voucher purchase per transaction. We're sorry but discount offers cannot be combined. However, if you forget to enter your code or voucher during checkout, don't worry! Just contact us at Support@CanvasPeople.com.au and we will apply any valid code to your order and credit you the difference!


I have not received my order confirmation, what should I do?

You should receive an email confirmation shortly after you've completed your order. If you did not receive this, and you have checked your spam folder, please contact our Customer Service team at Support@CanvasPeople.com.au.


I would like to give my canvas as a gift. Is the pricing included in the shipment?

No, the price paid will not be included. To order as a gift, just specify the recipient's address in the delivery details at checkout.


How do I know if the photo I want to use is of high enough quality?

No worries. We'll tell you. When uploading your image, if the resolution size is too small you will receive a message prompting you to upload a new image. If your photo has a slight blur to the naked eye, our system will not pick this up and your canvas will also have the slight blur.


Do you offer Gift certificates?

Sorry, we do not offer gift certificates.


Do you offer a collage canvas option?

We do not offer a collage canvas option however, you can create a collage using a third-party programme and upload your one photo while placing your order. Please be sure that you have a 3.8cm – 5.8cm border for wrapping.
